We strive to embed leading ESG strategies across our business so we can enhance value for our partners, reduce environmental impact, deliver healthy and resilient spaces for our tenants and communities, and provide an engaging workplace for our employees.
At Paceave, we create value by creating spaces where people want to be – where our tenants and the surrounding communities can thrive. We aspire to be at the forefront of the sustainability agenda by embedding ESG strategies and practices across our investments, developments and operations.
As responsible owners, we hold ourselves to high standards of accountability, governance, and ethics. Our objective is to provide meaningful spaces for tenants and communities, strive for environmental stewardship, and nurture a unique culture and work environment that supports and advances our team members, while creating long-term value for investors and partners.
Trust, collaboration, excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and ingenuity. These are our core values, which also underpin our approach to ESG. Whether it is building trust and collaborating with our tenants and local communities, harnessing our entrepreneurial spirit to deploy innovative environmental solutions or using our collective ingenuity to tackle global challenges such as climate change, our approach is simple. We strive to make a real-world impact. Doing rather than talking, with one goal in mind. To bring excellence to every project we take on and contribute to building stronger, more resilient buildings and communities in ways that create a shared benefit for all.

Founded in 2016, EVF is a vertical farming business based in Birmingham, England that develops leafy produce for sale in the UK mass market.
EVF’s food products are grown in warehouses that have been converted into vertical farms powered by solar power. These vertical farms provide the perfect environments for edible plants to thrive. It is a different way to produce food, resulting in fresh, nutritious, and affordable food that is grown locally and pesticide-free.
EVF’s mission is to promote more resource-efficient food production, reducing carbon emissions in the journey from farm to fork, and providing an alternative way of growing food with minimal environmental impact. Our investment is being used to fund the construction of EVF’s first five facilities by 2024. The facilities will be equipped to sustainably grow leafy produce 24/7, 365 days a year producing more food on less land.
In October of 2021, we launched an exciting, first-of-its-kind clean energy pilot in Canada with our Smart City Sandbox partners IBI Group and SWTCH Energy Inc. (SWTCH).
The three-year pilot is located at our property at 55 St. Clair West in Toronto and demonstrates how commercial building owners, like Paceave, can accommodate the growing demand for EV charging stations while simultaneously improving their building’s energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.
SWTCH’s vehicle-to-grid technology allows buildings to draw energy from parked EVs during on-peak hours rather than the grid. During the pilot, the parked Nissan Leaf will store energy during off-peak hours and redistribute that energy to the building and the EV chargers in use, creating an energy flow that is cost-effective and environmentally sustainable.
